As global demand for critical minerals grows alongside the imperative to achieve zero-waste and zero-emission objectives, Michelin’s presence at Mining Indaba reflects its commitment to advancing sustainable practices within and beyond the tyre ecosystem. This includes Michelin’s ongoing work on End-of-Life Tyre management (ELT), alongside tyre innovation and circular economy initiatives focused on material efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
“Africa’s mining industry stands at an exciting juncture where innovation, sustainability, and economic growth can reinforce each other. We look forward to contributing to this broader dialogue at Mining Indaba,” said Amaury Vadon. “Michelin believes that progress in smart, safe and sustainable mining and collaboration across sectors is not just good for business, it’s essential for future generations.”
