JTB Industrial Solutions (JTB) offers a supply of spray mist portable cooling systems from its longstanding international supplier Noga Engineering; as well as a range of deburring tools, both of which provide significant advantages and benefits to customers. This association with Noga is part of JTB’s ‘next-generation’ engineering solutions offering to its fast-growing base of loyal customers.

MiniCool maxi benefits from JTB and Noga portable cooling systems and quality deburring tools

So says JTB’s Managing Director Joash David, who heads up this dynamic, energised importer and distributor of engineering consumables, equipment and accessories to a wide variety of industry sectors, both locally and pan-Africa.

“Our core business lies in engineering consumables, and we take pride in offering the latest, cutting-edge ‘next-generation’ technology and solutions to our customers. Since the 1960s, Noga has been a well-known global manufacturer of machinist hand tools including deburring equipment and other tools used in the metalworking, plastic and plumbing industries. The company also provides spray mist portable cooling spray systems.”

Simple and cost-effective cooling

JTB Operations Manager Peter Hughes explains: “Noga cooling systems are applicable in all metalworking operations to alleviate points where friction occurs between the tool and the work piece, producing heat and tool wear. To counteract these harmful influences, Noga cooling systems are introduced at the contact points between the tool and the work piece. JTB is proud to supply the Noga MIC1700 MiniCool spray mist portable cooling system, which is designed to spray an air and liquid mixture. The MiniCool enables the user to easily control both the air flow rate and the liquid rate.”

The Noga MiniCool can be used for large fabrication facilities, mine maintenance workshops, in the automotive industry and for original equipment manufacturing, as well as in education and training environments. Features of the Noga MiniCool, which is simple and robust, include the following:

  • The system is portable;
  • It is attached via a strong magnetic base;
  • The nozzle, attached to a flexible hose, is adjustable; and
  • It features separate on / off air and fluid controls.

“The system is very cost-effective,” comments David, “but over and above this, it is a valuable and affordable solution to assist with the extension of tool / milling and turning machinery life. For example, Further Education and Training (FET) colleges in South Africa might be equipped with lathes which are good quality machines but no longer new, and which did not come originally with a built-in cooling system. The Noga MiniCool assists with extending the life of this valuable equipment, thereby allowing for continuing technical training while keeping costs down.”

“The Noga MiniCool assists additionally with tool maintenance,” adds Hughes, “because the air-cooling element of the system blows away the swarf generated during machining processes, which otherwise could clog up the machine. A collection bucket keeps the working environment neat and assists with safety for employees, as the shopfloor is also kept clean.”

Deburring tools - clients ask for Noga by name!

In addition to the cooling system, JTB also stocks a range of Noga deburring equipment. Hughes notes: “Large automatic machines are a key part of modern manufacturing plants producing metal or plastic parts. Factory workers are required to handle and inspect every part coming from these machines, and they will also be tasked with removing the burrs - unwanted raised edges, or pieces of material - which have appeared during the manufacturing process. Therefore, to improve the finish of these products, Noga makes a full range of deburring products. These include different configurations to allow the tool to reach every point or site on the product from which a burr must be removed.”

“The Noga is an acknowledged world-leader in hand deburring tools,” adds David, “and JTB is proud to carry its comprehensive and versatile range. Every Noga deburring system consists of a cutting blade and handle. The blades fit beautifully inside, and cleans jagged edges in an excellent manner, even in hard-to-reach sites.”

“The Noga deburring system is very well-known in South Africa, with a justifiably excellent reputation for quality, affordability and innovation,” says David. “When it comes to Noga products, we have a solid demand from our locaI customers, who are long-acquainted with its excellence.

We are proud to carry the full range of Noga deburring tools, as well as the MIC1700 MiniCool spray mist portable cooling system, both of which are designed to offer cost-effective solutions for extending the life of valuable machinery while also facilitating safe, quality production,” he concludes.
