SolarEdge Technologies, a global leader in smart energy technology, will for the first time present its newest additions to its’ residential, commercial, and utility offering, at the Solar Show Africa 2023 (Booth B124), taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg on 25-26 April.

SolarEdge’s Commercial & Industrial offering will highlight the next generation of S-Series Power Optimizers, now available with SolarEdge Sense Connect, an industry-first safety functionality. The display will include SolarEdge’s 100kW three-phase inverter with Synergy Technology, which is designed to provide more power in commercial PV installations in a variety of segments such as carports, industrial and ground-mount installation. The SolarEdge commercial solution is designed to offer benefits throughout the entire value chain, such as maximized energy production for improved ROI, longer strings and design flexibility, module-level monitoring and remote trouble shooting for improved O&M.
Also on display is the SolarEdge Power Plant Controller, a load-shedding solution for the commercial and Industrial segments that offers backup from alternative power sources, such as diesel generators, while meeting the DNP3 requirement for remote power management. Suited to large-scale plants with export limiting requirements, the power plant controller overcomes the distance between the solar inverters and the grid meter.
The Utility solution introduces the benefits of DC-optimization to the utility-scale market, with the unveiling of a new 330kW utility inverter. Paired with advanced monitoring capabilities, the utility-sale solution provides granular system level information for faster servicing, efficient fleet management and remote troubleshooting.
Laurence Lipjes, SolarEdge Country Manager South Africa: “With our market-leading global experience and innovative technology, we believe we are strongly positioned to support the growing need of South Africans for more energy. Smart, innovative backup solutions can help improve their day-to-day lives.
