Siemens has officially launched its SINOVA range of low voltage electrical products in South Africa. The new range is designed to meet the needs of emerging markets, providing for power distribution, final distribution and control in industrial applications, buildings, infrastructure and utilities.

In introducing the new product range, Dennis Kristoff, IAAA Regional Manager (India, Africa, ASEAN and Australia) emphasised that where Siemens has typically been associated with complexity, the development focus for SINOVA has been on simplicity, reliability and affordability. The simplicity of SINOVA, he said, is in the products themselves, and in that they are simple to select, to configure, to order, to replace, or to return, and simple in operation. He also said that with this new product range, Siemens aims to extend its market reach into the infrastructure, buildings and utilities sectors, which it has not operated in until now.
Siemens Southern Africa is a trusted technology leader, and it sees the SINOVA range of electrical products as key to helping Africa and other emerging market regions make electricity access more widely available.

SINOVA simplifies electrical installations, providing electrical protection and safety, control, and switching and metering capabilities. The range includes the 3WJ air circuit breakers, 3VJ moulded case circuity breakers, 3MT7, 3MU7, 3MH7 and 3MV8 control products and contactor relays, and 5TJ and 5TE mini circuit breakers for final distribution.

The new product range was also recently launched in the Southeast Asian region and is specifically geared towards solving electrical installation issues in developing economies.
