The kit is designed for PV professionals, providing the tools needed for PV installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance testing in line with IEC 62446-1 standards. With Fluke’s TruTest™ software, measurement data from solar site installation and commissioning testing can be imported, organised and analysed for reporting, easily, without the technician needing to take a laptop onto site.

  • Industry-standard measurements: IEC-compliant Category 1 and 2 Test Regime measurement capabilities include protective earth resistance (Rpe), voltage on open circuit (Voc), short-circuit current (Isc), polarity test, insulating resistance, and 1 kV I-V curve tracing capabilities.

The complete package streamlines PV installation, commissioning and maintenance, enabling PV professionals to complete required tests and make use of the Fluke TruTest® Solar Software which compiles data into the industry standard format. This can cut installation time by up to 20% and documentation time by up to 50%. The increased 1 kV I-V Curve tracing capability allows users to service larger PV systems, centralising results across tools. The individual client, project, and site data filing feature helps operations and maintenance teams recover measurements from past projects and across multiple clients, to inform improved optimisation of existing processes.

The SMFT-1000 adds to the Fluke portfolio of test tools designed for the solar energy industry.
