Additional speed and power modes mean that in fast conveyor belt applications, the sensor can achieve measuring frequencies of 1 200 Hz in speed mode, and in power mode, the OMH maintains micrometre precision even under challenging conditions, such as in PCB (printed circuit board) assembly. This is a differentiating feature, offering an advantage over standard distance sensors which often fail to detect such objects reliably.
With its compact and robust design and analogue output, the high-precision OMH can also be used in retrofit applications. IO-Link ensures easy parameter setting and data use in fully automated processes.
