Servest is pleased to announce that its Landscaping and Turf business unit received significant independent recognition at the 2026 South African Landscapers Institute (SALI) Awards of Excellence, securing 20 awards, in addition to the highly prestigious SALI Shield of Excellence.
The SALI Awards are independently adjudicated by industry professionals and represent one of the highest benchmarks of excellence in South Africa’s commercial landscaping sector. Judging assesses landscaping projects against stringent criteria, including quality, innovation, technical execution, sustainability and maintenance standards.
Servest received the coveted SALI Shield of Excellence for the landscape maintenance of Pecanwood Estate in Hartbeespoort. The Shield is SALI’s premier annual award, recognising the top landscaping project in the country that exemplifies outstanding quality, innovation and environmental stewardship. The award has been presented annually since 1986.
The achievement further strengthens Servest Landscaping and Turf’s standing as South Africa’s most awarded commercial landscaping provider, with more than 100 SALI Gold Awards accumulated over the past 25 years.
Hosted at the Riverside Sun in Gauteng, the annual black-tie awards ceremony brought together the country’s leading landscaping professionals, industry pioneers and innovators, such as Ludwig Taschner and Keith Kirsten, who both received individual acknowledgement and celebrated excellence in landscaping, horticulture and environmental management.
Sharing this occasion with such respected figures made the achievements of our team even more meaningful.
On the evening, Servest secured ten Double Golds, four Silver, two Bronze and one Merit award, three Trophy awards and the SALI Shield award!
These awards reflect projects independently judged as among the best in their respective categories nationally and recognise the consistency, quality and specialist expertise demonstrated by the Servest Landscaping and Turf team.
Andre Olivier, Managing Executive of Landscaping and Turf at Servest, commented: “These awards are a testament to our continued commitment to excellence, innovation, quality and professionalism in the greens industry. More importantly, recognition from an independent professional body such as SALI validates the standard of work our teams consistently deliver for clients across South Africa. This achievement reflects the dedication of every team member who continues to raise the bar.”
Rob de Grooth, CEO of Servest, added: “This recognition represents an extraordinary achievement for our Landscaping and Turf business and reinforces Servest’s position as a leader in the South African greens industry. Independent recognition at this level validates the breadth of our expertise, the quality of our execution and our ability to consistently deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.”
