Customers can now engage with the various technologies which include screens for presentations, demonstrations and skills technology transfer. The mobile unit is also equipped with the latest and upgraded technology to customers enabling them to keep abreast of Siemens innovations. By experiencing and interacting technology in this way, this will assist customers in making better informed decisions with their current challenges specifically in the fields of measurement, analysis, and control of industrial processes. It will also alleviate enormous time spent by customers who require more information about a certain capability of a product or needing a demonstration.

Latest engineering solutions

Some of the latest engineering solutions installed that you can look forward to are the Simatic PCS7, ULTRAMAT gas analysers, level measurement ultrasonic switches, SITRANS T temperature measurement, Coriolis, Electromagnetic and Ultrasonic Flow measurement, Siwarex WP231weighing and batching systems, and integrated data networks for Industrial communication and many more.

Not only will the PA truck reach its key customers, but the PA team will also engage with its strong partner network in South Africa and across borders. The mobile unit has already reached out to Botswana and in the upcoming weeks will visit Middelburg for a technology day and be on showcase in Namibia for a major mining show.

Head of Siemens Process Automation, Process Industries and Drives

“In remote areas for example mines and other outlying areas, the objective is to reach out to customers who ordinarily do not have regular interaction with Siemens subject matter experts”, explains Mikhail Vakhutinskiy (Head of Siemens Process Automation, Process Industries and Drives). It is a great opportunity to spend more time in the field and get closer to our customers. Already we have noticed a huge interest and successful feedback from the few demonstrations we have hosted” “I am extremely proud of the team’s dedication and support together with our global PA team in being instrumental in the actual planning, installation and implementation of this project”, continues Vakhutinskiy. We look forward to networking with our key customers in various regions by showcasing our integrated versatile solutions for all process applications and position ourselves with our mobile unit as the one-stop partner for Process Automation. We encourage our customers and interested parties to use this valuable opportunity to contact us to discover more about how our innovations can help you gain the competitive advantage by bringing these solutions to your doorstep”
