The International Energy Agency (IEA) is collecting disaggregated energy end-use data from national and international stakeholders and has recently released its July 2025 update of the Energy End-use and Efficiency Indicators database. The IEA has been working on increasing the database’s geographical coverage – it currently covers end-use data and indicators across final consumption sectors in 61 countries, territories and economies.

In the Energy End‑uses and Efficiency Indicators data explorer, online visitors can explore a selection of the dataset free of charge. The explorer contains six tabs, with relevant key indicators and graphs by sector.

The full Energy End-uses and Efficiency Indicators database is accessible for subscribers at the IEA’s website; an additional Demo and availability file shows complete data and graphs for two countries, as well as detailed data availability information.

The IEA’s intention in collating this database is to offer analysts, policy makers, and other energy sector stakeholders, easy access to the information to enable successful transitions towards secure and resilient energy systems.
