Leading luminaire manufacturing company BEKA Schréder was chosen as the lighting supplier on the newly constructed Hazeldean Boulevard in Pretoria East, Gauteng.
“This is a brand-new construction that has only just been handed over to the City of Tshwane by Balwin Properties,” explains Benita Delport, who is part of the BEKA Schréder sales team. “The road spans 3km and includes an underpass at the N4 highway, linking Ridge Road in the Hazeldean Precinct with Lagoon Drive in Riverwalk.”
Hazeldean Boulevard links Mamelodi and Silver Lakes, and its construction is intended to relieve traffic pressure on Silverlakes Road which has been under strain for the past few years.
“We opted for BEKA Schréder’s LEDLUME 1 and LEDLUME 3 luminaires,” says Heinrick le Roux, Senior Sales Representative at BEKA Schréder. “They have been designed and manufactured in South Africa, taking the continent’s harsh environmental conditions into account, thus ensuring maximum product lifetime.”
The LEDLUME range is available in four sizes for flexibility and versatility. “The different sizes make it easier for us to provide a customised solution that meets the requirements of the application,” say the sales experts
The LEDLUME range has a useful lifetime of up to 100 000 hours with a lumen depreciation of not more than 30%. It offers flexible combinations of LED modules, a choice of currents and dimming options to further maximise energy savings and provide the most cost-effective solution.
