Astron Energy has reached yet another milestone in its rebranding programme with the unveiling of its 700th site in Villiersdorp in the Western Cape.
This achievement builds on the progress since the launch of this programme in 2022 and reflects the dedication of teams across the business as well as strong collaboration with retail partners and all other stakeholders.
The initiative is one of the most significant transformations in South Africa’s fuel industry in over three decades. Astron Energy operates the country’s second-largest petroleum retail network, with more than 800 service stations nationwide.
We are thrilled to celebrate reaching nearly 90% of our network, signalling that the programme is approaching completion. John Bailey, Retail and Marketing General Manager at Astron Energy, said the milestone reflects strong progress against an ambitious national rollout.

The Villiersdorp retailer welcomed the milestone, noting the positive impact of the refreshed brand on the local community.
