Amdec Group has broken ground for a new 4 000 sqm state-of-the-art Lifestyle Centre at its popular Evergreen Broadacres, one of the country's most desirable retirement living estates.

Adding even more quality to the signature retirement lifestyle at this sought-after village in Gauteng, the impressive new Evergreen Broadacres Lifestyle Centre will provide everything anyone could want for their retirement living.

Amdec breaks ground with new Lifestyle Centre 1Cobus Bedeker, Managing Director, Evergreen Property Development.

Resort-style facilities will be developed as part of the centre, including a gym, indoor heated pool, restaurant, TV lounge, bar, salon, library, and games room. It will also incorporate a separate 2 000 sqm Health Care Centre including a Frail Care facility.

Evergreen Lifestyle is South Africa's leading national retirement lifestyle brand, and a division of the Amdec Group, a privately-owned property development and investment business and leading developer of New Urban lifestyles. There are five Evergreen Lifestyle Villages across South Africa with several more in the pipeline.

Arthur Case, CEO of Evergreen Lifestyles says: “We are delighted that the latest addition to our thriving Evergreen Broadacres village in Gauteng will welcome residents from 2017 from its proud new position flanking the lush green belt which runs through Evergreen Broadacres.”

Amdec breaks ground with new Lifestyle Centre 2The new Lifestyle Centre at Evergreen Broadacres builds on the reputation Evergreen Lifestyle has earned for crafting and managing exceptional retirement villages, having won a host of international accolades that include Best Retirement Development in South Africa and Africa.

Contributing to its sterling reputation is its internationally popular Life Right Purchase model. “It offers many advantages over its sectional title counterpart; notably the ongoing involvement of the developer, a home-for-life with flexible purchase options, transparent and affordable levies and no transfer duty or registration costs,” says Phil Wilson, Evergreen Lifestyle’s national sales director. With the life right model the developer and life right holder develop a partnership for life.

Cobus Bedeker, managing director; Evergreen Property Development, explains that the 4 000 sqm Lifestyle Centre is divided equally between the Clubhouse and the Health Care Centre. The new Clubhouse replaces a temporary one that has ensured valuable lifestyle facilities at Evergreen Broadacres in the interim.

Bedeker says: “The new Lifestyle Centre at Evergreen Broadacres caters to the everyday lifestyle needs of its residents, but also supports a spirit and sense of community. It is a replica of our flagship Clubhouse at Evergreen Muizenberg in Cape Town. We believe that having these facilities is integral to quality retirement living.”

Demonstrating their strong sense of community, over 100 Evergreen Broadacres residents attended the launch for the new Lifestyle Centre, participating in its sod turning ceremony to commemorate the start of construction of the highly anticipated Lifestyle Centre.

Commenting on the new Lifestyle Centre, Graham Langmead, head of the residents committee at Evergreen Broadacres, says: “We are delighted that our new, permanent, Clubhouse is now becoming a reality. It adds to our village and builds on the already strong sense of community that has been a feature of this village from the start. Our secure country living integrates seamlessly with its surrounding neighbourhoods, with the likes of Fourways Mall and Broadacres Spar close at hand. This is a great environment for retirement and I advise others not to put off the move.”

Evergreen Broadacres residents enjoy quality retirement living in a beautiful country estate with 130 architect-designed homes dotted throughout its 2-hectare tranquil green gardens.

In addition to the more than 100 sold-out homes at Evergreen Broadacres, a selection of brand new three-bedroom homes, all with gardens and double garages, are now available in this beautiful landscaped eco-estate. The attractively priced and spacious homes are defined by quality fixtures and fittings, and are also pet friendly.

Security and convenience have been taken into account in every step of the planning of the village, which is ideally located just 3 km north of Fourways, close to William Nicol Drive, Witkoppen and Cedar Roads.

This means that, besides its own wide selection of amenities, Evergreen Broadacres is also situated near the Life Fourways Hospital, Lanseria International airport and many leading shopping centres.
