Never look for a pencil again or a rule; imagine pulling the tape out and instantly making your mark. Quickdraw rolls a graphite line automatically, with greater accuracy than a pencil, and is easily operated with one hand, thanks to the patented RollMark™ Graphite Technology.
Two models are available in South Africa; a 5 m and 8 m tape. QuickDraw uses 0.9 mm graphite sticks, (10 sticks are included in each pack) and can be reloaded in less than 10 seconds.
QD Graphite refills are also available. Lock the blade to draw circles and lines or a radius and hold the corner of the hook on the centre point. The marking system works as follows; there is a stick of graphite directly above the small steel wheel. As the wheel rolls, it transfers the graphite to the surface being marked. It works on all kinds of surfaces, no matter how rough, because the mark is made by a small hardened steel wheel, which rolls out the graphite. The result is a pencil line, without the pencil, and it never needs to be sharpened. A white refill marker is also available as an extra accessory.
The marking system acts as a gun site, eliminating the parallax effect and letting you make an extremely accurate mark. The rugged co-moulded case is secured by industrial STAR-drive screws. The tape hook is secured with three rivets and a steel backing plate and you can extend the stand-out of the blade up to 140 cm plus with your free hand. The self-marking QuickDraw tape measure makes 2000+ marks per load. Reloading takes only seconds, and your tape comes with 10 refills that will make over 20 000 marks. The tape also includes a hook/clip that can be attached to your belt or toolbox (a key chain option is also available as an extra accessory).
The awards and reports have flowed in for the new QuickDraw tape measure after it was introduced in the USA.
