Wolfgang Bernecker is the founder and managing director of FutureACT and has held a strategic role at Tridonic since 2021. In both roles, he champions the evolution of lighting from a purely technical function to a performance-driven asset in the built environment. With over two decades’ experience in lighting, building automation, and telecommunications, he specialises in integrating IoT, MQTT, and real-time visualisation technologies, including Unreal Engine, into intelligent lighting systems. At Tridonic, Wolfgang drives strategic initiatives through a suite of training services that link product innovation to real-world project planning—focusing on sustainable, human-centric lighting. His work bridges cutting-edge technology and biological understanding, enabling clients and partners to unlock new value through smart, responsive lighting environments.
