Megapipes Solutions Limited is now a member of the Plastic Pipes Manufacturers of Kenya.
KEPPMA confirmed Megapipes membership via a certificate awarded to the company in January this year and will see Megapipes subscribe to the association’s code of ethics.
KEPPMA ensures that plastic pipes in Kenya are manufactured to the right standards and specifications. They work hand in hand with the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) to ensure ethics and standards are maintained within the plastic pipes industry.
Memberships are open to the plastic pipes manufacturing industry, water professionals, architects, building consultants and plastic pipes raw material suppliers.
Megapipes offers solutions for sustainable stormwater, sanitation and water storage using innovative world class technology and unique services tailored to customer needs.
The company was registered in Kenya in 2019 and is mandated to provide sustainable solutions to the country’s water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) needs. Megapipes provide a range of plastic piping solutions out of Weholite, an environmentally friendly and cost effective product.
Simon Thomas, international consultant and board member of Megapipes is excited about this new association; “It’s a wonderful opportunity to become a KEPPMA member. As an industry we are united under shared values and ethics, and this allows for growth, improvement and solidarity. At Megapipes Solutions Limited we call on our partners and stakeholders to join KEPPMA so that we can all work together to raise living standards, specifically tied to water and sanitation, in Kenya.”
Becoming a member of a professional organisation gives businesses a distinct advantage by staying relevant with the ever-changing market. It exposes likeminded companies, which sparks collaboration, encourages networking, and builds the industry collectively.
“In order to drive the future of this industry forward it will be essential to collaborate with our fellow industry leaders to raise the standards of the building materials used. Ultimately this will contribute to the growth of the Kenyan construction industry,” concludes Thomas.
