Co-LAB Architects is a vibrant architectural practice located in the fast-growing city of Nelspruit. It covers an extraordinarily vast range – from commercial and healthcare, to residential and tourism.

Co-LAB works hard at being a forerunner in sustainable construction methods and principles for environmentally-friendly living and development. This means that they usually aim to do more with less. Which is a winning partnership for Italtile, working with eco-conscious, driven corporations. Working hand in hand on the Siyaphambili Office Park project was Lagerwey Group, a diversified property developer and contractor with a proud track record extending more than 50 years in the construction and property development industry.
With the construction of the Nelspruit High Court and the large scale upgrade on the Mpumalanga University, the demand for AAA office space has hit sky high levels. Nelspruit has experienced a sharp increase in demand and 18 stands at Riverside Park Extension 22 Industrial Park recently sold quickly at prices ranging from R2-million to R15-million. The commercial property market is particularly active at the moment with AAA office blocks enjoying the majority of the market segment.
The Siyaphambili Office Park is a typical example of the class of commercial landmarks that Nelspruit is currently adding to the city’s style and culture. The building is a good mixture of stylish architecture and functionality with a touch of retro.
Italtile’s experienced commercial agent, Willie Pretorius, concentrating on the Mpumalanga and Mozambique regions, has had great involvement in ensuring Italtile benchmark products had a major role in such a sound project. Style Grafito and Style Greige tile range, was laid right through the building, including bathroom walls. Bathrooms also included sanware products from Italtile’s prestige Swiss suppliers, Laufen.
The project was completed in 19 months.
