New automatic lubricant
dispenser series
SKF has announced
the introduction of
the TLMR series of
automatic lubricant
dispensers for gen-
eral machinery appli-
cations in heavy industries
such as mining, oil and gas, and food
and beverage. Ideal for difficult-to-
reach or hazardous lubrication points,
the TLMR lubricators are resistant to
water, dust and vibration.
The new lubricant dispensers deliver dis-
charge pressures of up to 30 bar and provide
reliable operation in temperatures ranging from
-25 to +70°C. The TLMR 101 lubricator is
powered by standard-sized, lithium AA batter-
ies, while the TLMR 201 uses a 12 or 24 V dc
supply. Both models are available with 120 or
380 mℓ replaceable lubricant cartridges for ap-
plications requiring high lubricant consumption.
The TLMR lubricators are simple to install
and offer a longer service life than competitive
products (up to 24 months). Both units have
earned an IP (ingress protection) code of 67 and
feature LED status indicators that signal proper
function, low grease level and errors.
Tablet-based sales tool for
Triangle Lubricants
In just three months, Triangle Lubricants has
transformed the way it does business and
has already increased its sales calls by 25%.
Using a new tablet based sales tool,
HoneyBee, Triangle Lubricants is now
poised for increased profitability. Christoff
Sonnekus of Triangle says customer man-
agement is crucial for the business and the
new HoneyBee system allows for accurate
and available customer history at the touch
of a button. “This means that we are a better
supplier; we can work more effectively with
our customers to sell the products and our
reps don’t need to carry a load of brochures
around with them. The HoneyBee applica-
tion addresses all the problems we used to
have and makes our sales operation more
streamlined and effective.”
We’ve also cut down the amount of time
reps spend in the office – from four hours
to one hour – and this means they can
spend more time selling and servicing our
customers.”
BMG has established a new facility at
BMG Park in Johannesburg, where spe-
cial attachment chains are assembled,
to exact requirements, in less than one
week.
“BMG’s special delivery service en-
ables customers to specify a wide range
of standard Tsubaki attachments on any
suitable American (ANSI) or British (BS)
chain product, of up to 50 m in length,”
says Carlo Beukes, BMG’s power trans-
mission product manager. BMG is the
only company in the world, outside of
the Tsubaki organisation, with accredi-
tation to provide this unique service.
“This specialist assembly service
means customers don’t need to invest in
expensive stock holdings of specialised
attachment chains for a specific ma-
chine. BMG ensures each attachment
chain is assembled according to a cus-
tomer’s exact requirements and delivers
within days of receiving an order.
Currently, only BS and ANSI chains,
Flexicon has expanded its FLEXI-
DISC™-line of tubular cable conveyors
with the addition of a 15 cm diameter
system, more than doubling the capac-
ity of the company’s recently introduced
10 cm diameter conveyor.
The conveyor is intended for the
gentle transfer of fragile/friable food
products such as: virtually all beans;
cereals; coffees; dried fruits; frozen
vegetables; grains and nuts; pet foods;
seeds, snack foods, spices and teas.
Typical non-foods include bulk chemi-
cals and minerals; chopped fibreglass,
microspheres and pellets of all types;
tobacco and other fragile products.
Low-friction, high-strength polymer
discs slide materials gently, quietly and
dust-free through smooth stainless steel
tubing, which can be routed horizon-
tally, vertically or at any angle, through
small holes in walls or ceilings, over
short or long distances. The system can
be configured with single or multiple
inlets that are metered or non-metered,
and discharged via open or valved-ends.
The cable-disc assembly is pulled
through the tubing circuit by a drive
wheel at one end of the circuit, and kept
taut by an automatic cable tensioner at
the opposite end of the circuit. All hous-
ings and ancillary metallic components
are of 304 or 316 stainless steel with
continuous welds ground and polished
to food, pharmaceutical or industrial
standards.
In addition to galvanised cable, discs
are available affixed to stainless steel
and Nylon-encapsulated stainless steel
cable for sanitary applications. Wet or
dry cleaning accessories can be quickly
attached to the cable to minimise
downtime between changeovers, while
clean-in-place (CIP) accessories allow
automated sanitising of the system.
The conveyor is offered as a stand-
alone system in unlimited layouts, and/
or pre-engineered and integrated with
upstream and downstream equipment
such as inlet hoppers, bag dump sta-
tions, bulk bag dischargers, bulk bag fill-
ers, drum/box/container tippers, weigh

New chain assembly facility from BMG
between ½-inch and 1-inch are part
of this special assembling service, but
BMG plans to introduce phase two later
this year, which will cover double pitch
roller chain.
The complete range of Tsubaki power
transmission components is available
from BMG’s national branch network,
which offers a technical advisory and
24 hour back-up service.
