City has reached another key
milestone with work about to
start on the cutting of the first
station/level on the ventilation
shaft. This level is approximately
690 m below the shaft collar
and lies around 45 m above the
point where the first Merensky
Reef will be intersected. To mark
the event, Wesizwe recently
hosted a media visit to the mine
which allowed media repre-
sentatives to view the progress
being made on the project.
